Solar-Log 370 Official Product Launch
Solar-Log® launched the most accurate monitoring and advanced residential energy management solution specifically designed for today’s U.S. solar PV market. The Solar-Log 370 & GE Meter combines the advanced power management technology of the Solar-Log® data loggers into Aclara’s (formerly GE) popular I-210+, residential revenue grade, plug and play socket meter. Smart energy management features include building load management, grid feed-in control, incentive reporting and remote disconnect.
Solar-Log® & GE Meters Certified UL 2735
Solar Data Systems, Inc’s line of Solar-Log® smart meters received Underwriter Laboratories 2735 certification. This UL 2735 certification applies to the entire product line including the Solar-Log 350, 360 and 370.
Solar-Log® & GE Meter Certified CSA CAN3-C17-M84
Solar-Log® & GE Meters received CAN3-C17-M84, Canadian Standards Association’s (CSA) safety certification for alternating-current electricity meters. These standards recognize products with technical superiority and ability to meet the needs of industry regulators and consumers. CSA Group is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), an organization that co-ordinates the standards strategy for the U.S.
GTM Confirms Solar-Log® Residential and Commercial ISV Global Market Leader
In the residential and commercial segments monitored in 2015, GTM Research confirmed the PV monitoring specialist, Solar-Log®, as a global leader among Independent software vendors (ISV) in terms of MW monitored.
Solar-Log® Compatible with 100 Inverter Brands
Solar-Log® integrated with inverter manufacturer Canadian Solar, making the independent monitoring solution compatible with over 100 inverter brands. This unmatched compatibility eliminates the need for installers to learn several monitoring systems. Installers can select the best inverter for each plant and have the advantage of monitoring the entire fleet from one online platform.
Solar-Log 370 Nominated for Intersolar Award
The new Solar-Log 370, an advanced residential solar PV monitoring and power management device, was selected as a finalist for the Intersolar AWARD in the “Photovoltaics” category.
New Solar-Log® Commercial RGM Enhanced Design
Solar Data Systems, Inc. announced the launch of the new enhanced design of the Solar-Log® Commercial Revenue Grade Meter, providing the ultimate turnkey solution for measuring solar PV plant performance. In addition to providing near real-time inverter direct monitoring like its predecessor, the new Solar-Log® Commercial Revenue Grade Meter offers adaptable options including SCADA integration through DNP3 or Modbus protocol. These additional communication protocols, plus compatibility with over 100 inverter brands, provide power management tools for control of inverter production, power factor, VAR and grid export. As part of the enhanced product redesign, the non-fading polycarbonate and ABS plastic enclosure now features a swing frame to accommodate more options in a compact package. The DC power architecture has also been modified to increase system reliability and contribute to the cost effective price point.

Anthony Conklin joins Solar-Log® as New SDSI President
Anthony Conklin has been appointed President of the North American Headquarters. As company President, Conklin will oversee all Solar-Log® sales and business in North America. Conklin is a 10-year veteran in the solar industry, both in the residential and commercial sector. He is an executive sales leader, mentor, speaker and renewable energy enthusiast with a superb knowledge of EPC and utility business. He has served as a solar industry expert and panelist for many organizations including the New York Beer and Wine Association, Columbia University School of Engineering and Solar Investment & Finance USA.
