Solar-Log® solutions help solar industry professionals and plant owners maximize ROI and protect the investment they made in solar.
Solar-Log® is setting new standards when it comes to managing solar plants. Integration of smart devices and intelligent control optimizes the usage of self-produced solar power.
Solar technology provider Solar-Energie Andresen GmbH (sea) installed two rooftop solar PV plants at Waagen-Wulff GmbH in Flensburg. Each plant is equipped with a Solar-Log™ PM Box 2000 to guarantee compliance with the feed-in limits specified by the regional energy supplier. Depending on requirements, the two-stage system, consisting of the Solar-Log 2000 PM+ and a PAV,E guardian, regulates the power input of one of the two plants. This ensures that the electricity being fed in to the grid does not exceed the maximum amount allowed by the energy supplier. The system is being used in this form for the first time in Germany.
Growth in the U.S. solar PV market is expected to remain flat in 2018, however solar installations could reach 2 million by year end (1.9 million currently). Even with sideways growth, the solar PV monitoring sector of the industry went through some major changes in 2018. Big brands consolidated, multiple new software offerings emerged, and energy management, including solar-plus-storage, became a headliner.
Solar-Log® is now compatible with the RainWise Inc. PVmet 200 Weather Station. Solar-Log® and RainWise users can now visualize all important values provided by this well-known Weather Station directly on the Solar-Log WEB Enerest™ platform.
All new features available on the Solar-Log WEB Enerest™ App. The old Solar-Log™ APP will be discontinued as of November 29, 2018.
Solar Power International attendees can expect all the showstoppers from Solar-Log® this year at booth 738. In addition to showcasing products across the entire residential and commercial segments, Solar-Log® will be offering live demonstrations of Amazon Alexa compatible voice monitoring, and the newest energy management solutions including forecast-based storage charging.
The Solar-Log™ energy management system has a new firmware update (Version 4.2.0) for the smart control of Varta battery systems.

Now, with the power of Solar-Log®, if you need performance information about your solar PV plant, just ask for it!
Solar Data Systems, Inc. announces Solar-Log WEB Enerest™ upcoming compatibility with Amazon Alexa’s Voice Service. Solar-Log WEB Enerest™ will allow PV plant owners to ask Alexa about their solar PV plant status. Plant owners can ask questions like, "Alexa, how is my plant?" or "Alexa, how much money have I earned with my plant?". Alexa will even know the answer to questions like, "when is the best time to vacuum?". The answer will not be based on how dirty the floor is, but rather on the current amount of available solar power and the expected energy production surplus over the next two days. With this new Solar-Log WEB Enerest™ function, plant monitoring becomes simpler and more intuitive for plant owners.
